Life’s not all that bad for Mumbai’s strays

Muralidharan Nair’s tanned face melts into a scowl. “Look, if someone dares beat my stray dogs, I’ll bash him up,” says the 65-year-old who lives on a traffic island in Mahim. This is my Sniffy, he says, patting a brown stray curled up on his blanket mid-street, a stone’s throw from Sena Bhavan.
